”Strategic Foresight is a series of methods to help us in being better prepared for the future by enabling us to learn about the future before it gets here… and the more we learn about today, the more we can be ready for tomorrow.
Dr. Sheila R. Ronis is President of The University Group Partners, LLC, a management consulting firm and think tank specializing in strategic management, foresight, visioning, leadership, national security and public policy, founded in 1988. Dr. Ronis currently is an active member of the Federal Foresight Community of Interest in Washington, D.C. where, working with Professor Leon S. Fuerth, she also supports the broader federal government and global foresight communities. They were recently Co-Directors of the Project on Foresight and Democracy, funded by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and are currently co-directing Anticipatory Governance for Democracy, https://ag4democracy.org. She teaches the capstone course of the online Master of Public Affairs and Leadership program at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University where she also supports the undergraduate Washington Academic Internship Program in Washington, D.C. Dr. Ronis serves on the Dean’s Board of Distinguished Visitors at the Glenn College. Along with Professor Fuerth, she taught a class at Ohio State called Foresight and American Democracy. Before joining Ohio State, she retired as Distinguished Professor of Management and Director of the Center for Complex and Strategic Decisions (CCSD) at Walsh College.
For many decades, Dr. Ronis was an Associate with Argonne National Laboratory University of Chicago. She serves on the National Defense University Foundation Board of Directors as Chairman Emeritus. Her B.S. is in Physics, Mathematics and Education. Her M.A. and Ph.D. are from The Ohio State University in Large Complex Social System Behavior.
